FRIDAY MINISTRY

The exciting thing about the ministry here at the ashford sacc is the wide range of generations we have the opportunity to serve and see through our various groups and activities each week. On a Friday evening our family ministries welcome children to Kingdom Kids, aged 5 - 11 years, and they meet at the local school. Tonight, the first Friday back after holidays, welcomed just over thirty children - usually they can get between 40-50 a week. There is a real dedicated team of servants - and led by childrens ministries officer clare hayward. Tonight the evening consisted of songs of praise and worship, prayer, the throne room - looking at how God provides for His People, a team challenge and much more. It was a full busy evening, and so exciting to see children really enjoying being together - and forming a church of Jesus Christ in this way.

Ignite Youth Project follows back at our church centre from 8pm, for eleven plus (those in secondary school). A smaller group meets here, but an active group with loads of equipment to play on and enjoy, a cafe serving a wide range of food, and then to end the evening a time to consider and chat in youth cells. This is split into age groups. A great foundation has been built for this project to grow and we are expecting this to be so over the next few months.
