AFRICAN PRAISE
A full hall gathered together to enjoy AFRICAN PRAISE, an evening to precede our missionary focus Sunday. Visiting us for the evening were some of the choir of the Balham Salvation Army, an African Choir, with one of their officers, Captain Neil Abbey. The choir sang a number of songs which helped us to capture so much of their joy and passion for Jesus. Also visiting us, but this time for the weekend, was Lt Colonels David and Jean Burrows. With a wealth of experience in Missionary Service for most of their officership, the colonels shared a little of their missonary work experinece, plus painted a picture of what is happening today, particualy through Lt Colonel Davids eyes through his role as Under Secretary for the African Zone at International Headquarters. Lt Colonel Jean Burrows has an appointment at IHQ on Personnel and as IHQ Chaplain. The event concluded with enjoying a supper, some of it African food, prepared by our friends sisters Nancy and Jane.
