WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SOLDIER

Our church centre was full to overflowing for the 'Farewell' Meeting to Soldier Annie Wheeler, who was promoted to Glory some two and a half weeks back. The service had been put together by Annie and the Captains some eighteen months ago, and was very exciting to share together with so many people. What was great too was the many from the church who shared, many taking time off work, and that all generations were represented. The coffin was carried by a horse drawn carriage! The Committal at Charing, started by a march from the entrance gates to the door into the chapel, processing our soldier to her point of rest - and celebrating her eternal reward. It was a special and moving time. There are so many people to thank - Heather for being our pianist, Carl for all his support and help towards this day and prayer support during the day, and other who assisted, including Elsie and her catering team. Our captains and envoy led the two services.
